1. Vienna: An Evening at the Hotel Sacher

Spend an evening at the venerable Hotel Sacher and create memories to last a lifetime. Enjoy a drink at the “Blaue Bar” where midnight blue and gold décor create a visually stunning and romantic setting for an evening at Vienna’s famous Hotel Sacher. A perfect night there begins with a drink at the elegant Blaue Bar, famous for its midnight blue and gold décor. After learning a bit about the hotel's fabled history from the charming barkeeper, head down the marble hall for an unforgettable dinner at Anna Sacher, named for the legendary grande dame who ran the hotel until 1929. Today the restaurant is as fashionable as ever, with its priceless Lobmeyr crystal chandeliers and paintings by Anton Faistauer. Like Vienna itself, the place resists living in the past, and Sacher's chef de cuisine, Werner Pichlmaier, has created a wave of devotees for his contemporary, light interpretation of traditional Austrian cuisine. 2. Frogmore House Opening

The annual opening of Frogmore House is on 17-19 August. Don’t miss your chance to visit this favourite royal retreat, originally purchased by George III for his wife, Queen Charlotte. The Queen created the picturesque garden setting and her passion for botany is reflected in the beautiful interior decoration of the house.

3. Warwick Castle unlocks four centuries of secret stories in four never-before-seen rooms

In February Warwick Castle unlocked four rooms that have remained closed for generations to reveal secrets and stories across four centuries of the Castle’s past. The four ancient rooms – Barbican Battlements & Captain’s Room; Bear Tower; Watergate Room; and The Guards’ Room in Guy’s Tower - unlock defining chapters in the Warwick Castle story to reveal tales of battle, siege, murder, power struggles and hauntings. Each of the four rooms will be permanently open to visitors at no additional cost and can be viewed in any order to add even more depth to the story of Britain’s Ultimate Castle. Warwick Castle is open every day (apart from Christmas Day). It is in the West Midlands region of England, 40 minutes from Birmingham by car and 1 hour 40 minutes from London.

4. The Bolshoi Ballet at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden

London - The Bolshoi performs the UK premiere of its acclaimed new production of Balanchine’s Jewels, inspired by the brilliance and colour of gemstones. Fauré’s music perfectly complements the romantic elegance of Emeralds, followed by the jazzy, witty Rubies set to Stravinsky’s vibrant score; Diamonds, a glittering evocation of Russian imperialism to Tchaikovsky’s sublime music, ends the ballet in a spectacular tribute to the great Russian ballet tradition. The Bolshoi presents the first UK performances of Alexei Ratmansky’s highly acclaimed new version of Vasily Vainonen’s The Flames of Paris. Set to Boris Asafiev’s powerfully evocative music, the ballet depicts the tumultuous era of the French Revolution and astounds with one of the most exciting pas de deux in the whole of the ballet repertory

5. Ten Years of the Albertina

Vienna - The Albertina was opened with a brilliant new look in 2003, having been closed for several years. Since then, the museum has developed into one of the most important in Vienna. The anniversary will be solemnized with special exhibitions and parties. Marking the opening from 14 March is the exhibition "Bosch Bruegel Rubens Rembrandt. Masterpieces of the Albertina": As the Albertina owns one of the world's most important collections of Dutch hand drawings from the period from 1450 to 1650, around 150 works by Hieronymus Bosch, Pieter Bruegel the Elder, Peter Paul Rubens, Anton van Dyck and Rembrandt will be on show. On view the whole year round, of course, are the 21 Habsburg staterooms, which extend over two floors.
